Assam is a state in northeastern India known for its wildlife, archeological sites and tea plantations. In the west, Guwahati, Assam’s largest city, features silk bazaars and the hilltop Kamakhya Temple. Umananda Temple sits on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra river. The state capital, Dispur, is a suburb of Guwahati. The ancient pilgrimage site of Hajo and Madan Kamdev, the ruins of a temple complex, lie nearby.

ASSAM, MEGHALAYA (7N/8D) :

Day 1 Guwahati

Meet and greet on arrival. Check in hotel. After refreshment evening enjoy Cruise at Mighty River Brahmaputra (on direct payment basis). Night stay, in Guwahati.

Day 2 Guwahati – Shillong

Morning after breakfast visit Maa Kamakhya Temple. Later drive to Shillong(Meghalaya). En route visit Umiam Lake. Check in hotel. After refreshment you can take a walk around Police Bazar. Night stay, in Shillong.

Day 3 Shillong – Mawsynnram – Shillong

Today after breakfast drive to Mawsynnram for a day trip. Evening transfer to Shillong & overnight stay, in Shillong.

Day 4 Shillong – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Cherrapunjee

Today after breakfast drive to Mawlynnong the cleanest village in Asia and Dawki – Indo – Bangla Border. Enroute visit Shillong Peak. Later drive to visit Mawlynnong village and Dawki. You can also visit Single Decker Root Bridge in Riwai Village and Balancing Rock in Mawlynnong. On the way to Dawki you can enjoy boating (on direct payment basis) in Umangot River (known as Tamabil in Bangladesh). Evening transfer to Cherrapunjee and night stay, in Cherrapunjee.

Day 5 Cherrapunjee

After breakfast drive to visit Double Decker Bridge. Later visit Mawmluh Cave. Night stay, in Cherrapunjee.

Day 6 Cherrapunjee – Shillong

Today after breakfast check out & visit Thankaranga Park, Mawsmai Cave, Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sister Falls, Eco Park & Mawkdok Dympep Valley. Later transfer to Shillong & night stay, in Shillong.

Day 7 Shillong – Laitlum – Guwahati

Today after breakfast visit Don Bosco Museum & Shillong Golf course (known as Gleneagles of East). Later drive to visit Laitlum Canyons. The Laitlum Canyons in one such spot from where the vast, verdant and fascinating panorama of Meghalaya could be viewed and admired. Evening transfer to Guwahati and night stay, in Guwahati.

Day 8 Guwahati Airport / Railway Station Drop

Today after breakfast check out & drive to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward destination. Tour ends with everlasting memories of North East…!!!
